Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Company follows all legal obligations in the management of HSE
  • Establish strong links with Senior Management, Clients and Suppliers to ensure effective management of H&S
  • Ensure that safety policies and procedures are implemented, understood and adhered to at the work locations in order to ensure a safe working environment
  • Ensure all safety related incidents are investigated in a timely manner and continuous improvement initiatives are driven following accidents
  • Provide management information and feedback to employees to ensure they are kept adequately informed about all H&S issues
  • Carry out Company Health and Safety inductions for all new starters
  • Arrange PPE for the new incumbents
  • Book any internal/external training for employees
  • Coordinate and liaise with certification bodies if and when required
  • Coordinates and performs internal H&S audits
  • Undertake any other duties as the Company may reasonably require

 

Qualifications and Experience/Behaviours

  • Minimum NEBOSH general certificate
  • Membership of a professional body, ideally related to Health & Safety advantageous
  • Previous experience (preferably) within the mobility engineering sector desirable or manufacturing engineering environments. Would consider other disciplines
  • Understanding of legislation/guidance

Full Driving Licence

Excellent interpersonal skills and to be able to interact with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally. Ability to work well under pressure, to deadlines and operate in a fast paced environment.

 

Working conditions

Normal working hours will apply 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday

This role will be based at site in Dudley. However a degree of flexibility will be required for this role with visits to customer sites throughout the UK when required.
